You do know you can download a Lubuntu daily, or even one of the [older] snapshots and have a look at what has been done.

Last time I logged in here, I was still using sddm, and if it wasn’t obvious, i’m using Lubuntu and the resolute release.

FYI: I’ve not rebooted yet and seen the resolute SDDM background yet at login, but I plan to reboot later today or tomorrow and see it on my box rather than just in lximage-qt (how I’ve seen it so far). I’ve been meaning to do that since I noted it updated on this install.

What’s on the current daily can be seen by looking at the manifest, ie. https://cdimage.ubuntu.com/lubuntu/daily-live/current/resolute-desktop-amd64.manifest

You provided a link to the Lubuntu blog; but not a specific post on that blog site, so I’m not sure which article you were referring to sorry. Your link to abwc was to an upstream project.

Weeks ago when I wrote my last post on this thread, Lubuntu 26.04 LTS beta had not been released, and thus the 25.10 Release Notes may have been a clue of intention, at albeit five months old now.

If you want a blog; I suggest read our Lubuntu 26.04 LTS Beta release statement, ie.

https://lubuntu.me/lubuntu-resolute-beta-released/

I also posted a copy on this site too

labwc isn’t specifically mentioned in the blog, but Wayland is.
