If you refer to help rules; it refers to standard-supported releases of Ubuntu and official flavors.

Linux Mint (both Debian & Ubuntu products) are not Ubuntu.

Linux Mint provide two products, one based on Debian (LMDE) and the other is based on Ubuntu.

Neither product is Ubuntu.

Support here is for Ubuntu, and official flavors of Ubuntu as already stated.
