I just started using landscape and seeing a weird issue where all machines are offline as shown below. I did get an alert that devices are not reachable but I can ping landscape server from respective machine via ping command. Need help in troubleshooting further.
I am also able to perform reboot of the respective machine from landscape. So why am I still seeing them as offline?
I’m not sure what your issue is. Can you look through the logs? There may be more information there (especially in broker.log). Here’s our documentation on Landscape logs
What actually determines online/offline status? It took like 40 minutes for computer to go from offline to online.
Also my computer that was previously completely network isolated was still shown in Landscape SaaS with last ping times that were getting updated. So what is last ping time?
Constructive criticism: Landscape just doesn’t have the right level of detail. Show the history of all “pings” , explain what these are (is this the managed computer reaching out to internet or communication going the other way). If a computer is offline, show the details, etc.
It just seeems overall very sparse without some of these basics.
