Hello, you wrote about “preparation for Plasma 6”, does it mean, that Kubuntu 24.04 will have Plasma 6? Or is it preparation for later Kubuntus, eg. 24.10?
It’s certainly that. The Kubuntu Council voted unanimously to stay on Plasma 5 for the time being. I’m the leader of Ubuntu Studio, which also uses Plasma, and would’ve had something to say about any last-minute (at this point) transitions with a lot of panic in my voice. 
Yes, while I am versed in jumping straight into the fire, I am happy to report, later Kubuntus lol
