Does anyone know why it is taking so long to release a patched kernel?
Unless I’m mistaken, none of the recent CVEs appear to be patched in kernel 7.0.0-15.

Excellent question, and along those lines, where does integrating such patches lie on the scale of priorities for urgency and resource scheduling?
(sorry for language that might imply corporate framework, intending more to be precise on meaning 
)

Does anyone knows if CVE-2026-46243 was already patched? I searched through https://ubuntu.com/security/notices but couldn’t find any match.
It’s not. The patch appears to be two days old and the CVE is not even listed on CVEs | Ubuntu
However, it doesn’t appear to be a major issue on 26.04 because it’s blocked by LSM.
