Unmount the partition and then run fsck
About 6.14 when I run update and upgrade in terminal there was suggestion to remove certain unused packages. I just followed instruction in terminal and it removed those automatically. I think 6.14 was mentioned in there and after restart this problem arised.
ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ sudo fsck /dev/nvme0n1p2
fsck from util-linux 2.39.3
e2fsck 1.47.0 (5-Feb-2023)
/dev/nvme0n1p2: clean, 348660/15253504 files, 31574356/61003520 blocks
Seems OK.

Locked-NVram detected. Please do not forget to make your UEFI firmware boot on the Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS entry (nvme0n1p1/efi/ubuntu/grubx64.efi file) !
Is it OK to restart?
Found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-6.17.0-14-generic
Found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-6.14.0-37-generic
Yes, try to restart and select 6.14.0-37.
Locked NVram can also prevent a successful boot, but, it won’t be known until you see if Grub appears?
Hi,
I am back in my proper Ubuntu. 6.14 was there and works without hickups. Problem has been solved.
Is there something more I should now do? Or just use 6.14 until I upgrade to 26.04?
Should be OK. Just monitor it a few days / reboots ![]()
Thank you all for excellent help!
Computer seems to be happy now ![]()
