is 24.01 ready yet (without the problems)? I was sent to the topic and, it seems, its still a mess. I must choose at least 1 tag. I have no idea what that even means. I guess ‘ubuntu’ is a tag - changes are SO MUCH FUN!
There is no such release as Ubuntu 24.01
So the answer would be “No. 24.01 is not ready yet. And never will be.”
Unclear what “problems” you might be referring to, or why complaints about tags are relevant to those problems.
Glad you are having fun.
If you are asking about Ubuntu 24.04, that was released in April 2024, and my own testing of it seemed reliable and stable.
If you are asking about Ubuntu 24.10, that was released in October 2024, and --using it right now-- also seems reliable and stable.
Assuming you mean Ubuntu 24.04.1, it’s ready (and certainly not a mess)
I reckon that there are gazillions of happy users.
If you have a problem somewhere, then here is the place to seek assistance.
I updated to 24.01 several months ago and it was a disaster. That being the case I am sticking with 22.05 until the messes are cleared up. It seems to still be the case so I will not update. I thought the question was fair. Now I am in discourse.ubuntu. I have questions on this whole deal. I also notice that “ask ubuntu” remains working. So, I guess this means that “ask ubuntu” and “discourse ubuntu” are two different things doing the same thing? Or are there rules on this one. I almost said a mean thing but backed that one out as you seem to be really clear on the clearity of users. That too is a interesting. You need not reply to this one. I will try and be more acurate in the future. I am, however, serious about “ask ubuntu” and “discourse.ubuntu” as there is, apparently no longer an “ubuntu forum”. I remain amused with the entire mess.
Are you sure you are using Ubuntu? There are no such versions…
Closing.
There is no answerable question here.
