If live USB works with BIOS setting, will installer also work?

I want to install Ubuntu 24.04 on a newer Dell Inspiron – single-boot, overwriting Windows-11. Several sources advise turning OFF Secure Boot during installation, apparently because of potential conflict between the BIOS Secure Boot and the Ubuntu installer. But I’d rather not turn Secure Boot off because I’m not sure how it would affect the installation of MOK along with Ubuntu.

My question: Since the live USB 24.04 seems to run perfectly on my machine (with Secure Boot ON by default) can I assume that conflict would also be unlikely if I run the installer with Secure Boot ON?

May be completely unjustified leap of logic, but that’s why I’m asking

Thank you.

Yes, you certainly should have no problem with the installer.

By the way, did you check your hardware during the live session?
Graphics, wifi, bluetooth, sound etc.

Have you considered removing the Windows 11 disk and using a new disk?
Sometimes, it’s useful to have a bit of flexibility at your disposal.

@tea-for-one – Thanks for response and suggestions. I tested hardware every way I could think of in the live session and found nothing but smooth functioning. I’m excited to begin working with 24.04.
Preserving Windows (it does have a few advantages) and installing Ubuntu on a different disk is an appealing idea. Sadly, I don’t have the time or computer skills to tackle it now.

I’ll report results after installing.
