What I’ve Tried:

I’m using snap version of steam, trying play Infiniti Nikki from https://infinitynikki.nuanpaper.com/home .The download link is:https://x6cn-game-package.papegames.com/xstarter/370/InfinityNikki%20Launcher_1.3.0.exe .

I’m using dwproton-11.0-3,and set PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60 %command%.

Now the problem is,some UI displayed with wrong way.I have tried different proton, set steamos=1,etc,but no way.Only using PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 could be displayed correctly but the game is so laggy…

Then I try different version of dxvk, and different version of vkd3d.Problem still.

I can use dwproton because of ACE from Tencent.Other version of proton with Infinity Nikki will do not work.

Before Posting:

I have searched in protondb.Their methods don’t the trick for me.

Thank you for your help!

(And now I suspect it’s snap steam do something wrong. But I haven’t try other version yet.)

I would first make the Snap vs non-Snap test, because that separates a confinement/packaging issue from a Proton/DXVK issue. Install the normal Steam .deb in parallel, add the same Proton build and launch options, then compare the same scene. If the .deb behaves the same, it is probably better reported upstream to the Proton/DXVK or game-specific tracker rather than as an Ubuntu/Snap problem.

Thank you for your notice.I have tried the deb version of steam with same proton, but perform great.Only snap version perform bad.

Now I have report this situation to Canonical. Here is the issue link : https://github.com/canonical/steam-snap/issues/516
