How to see if a printer has a driver and what driver it is

22.04.5

Desktop Environment (if applicable):

GNOME

Problem Description:

Trying to figure out of a printer has a driver or not. I have to do this on three printers

Envy Photo 6200.2 Has Driver: HP Envy 6000 Series, hpcups 3.25.2
Dymo Labelwriter 400 Turbo Driver may be: dymo:0/cups/model/lw400t.ppd
Dymo Labelwriter DUO Driver may be:Dymo LabelWriter DUO Label, driverless, cups filters
OR Dymo Labelwriter DUO Label

The above printer drivers come from the Ubuntu /Settings/printer Printer Details/Select from Database
The DYMO printers may or may not have the displayed labels but they are my choices. The last one I choose the driverless but I can change it.

This was solved - I just want to make sure that anybody interested is aware. I have it, right now, but there are no replies even thought I had one, which is someplace. which solved the problem.

One would think that replies would be after the question, It was one place and then went away.

Interesting…
