How to report improvement feedback to Launchpad

I don’t know if this is related or not but…being new to “discourse.ubuntu.com” if I navigate to Desktop - Ubuntu Community Hub I cannot see a way to actually create a new topic at all?

I don’t know if this is related (but also not seeming to be able to create new posts…)

After using ubuntu-bug, it takes me to somewhere to login. With no explanation, at least say “in order to post your bug report, login here”, or some explanation?

Cheers!

Please create a Launchpad account so you can login to the bug tracker.

Then, please file a bug report at Bugs : Launchpad itself (for the website) or Bugs : Apport (for the ubuntu-bug application) so that your improvement feedback gets to the right place.

I have a “New Topic” button

I’m guessing new users can’t create a topic immediately.

No, it’s not related to that topic.

New users cannot start topics. After you have lurked a while, you will gain new capabilities, including starting new conversations. The lurking requirement is deliberate so new folks can learn the community’s culture. It also prevents a great deal of spam.

I’m sorry that you were mis-directed to Ubuntu Discourse in order to transmit your improvement suggestion. Our support platforms (AskUbuntu, UbuntuForums, IRC, Matrix, etc) would have answered your question and directed you how to file the bug with much less frustration for you. We hope you use your account here to participate in the community.
