How to install install sabnzbd on ubuntu 24.04

I need to know how to setup usenetserver in ubuntu 24.04 I checked with them and I am activated and ready to go but now need to know what is next. I remember there was a place to set it up for have forgotten where it was.

Thoughts?

I tried to install sabnzbd on my system and screwed up. It also put a bunch of flatpak on my system. I tried to delete flatpak using everyhing I could think of and was consistently told that it was not on my system. I then went to ubuntu file and searched for ‘flatpak’ and found 49 things that either had ‘flatpak’ in its title or within. That being the case I thought I would get rid of the files. but they are owned by root and it wants to keep them. I tried to remove them by setting nautilus admin:/ which, in theory should have fixed it but it didn’t. So, does anybody know a trick that would allow me to get rid of all those files. I want to do that before I try and install Sabnzbd

Thoughts?

@drufus2002 I have merged your two topics because essentially they are dealing with the same subject.

I have also added category and tags. Please make an effort to follow the instructions we gave previously for adding topics.

It will make life easier for you and us.

I do not understand where flatpaks come into the picture.

The article I will link to says that the easiest method to install SABnzbd is via the snap.
https://ubuntuhandbook.org/index.php/2024/01/install-sabnzbd-ubuntu/

Please take a look and ask before installing if something is not clear.

Thanks.

Another recommendation:

Bookmark that link in your browser and when you need to start a new topic, go there and not the main page.

This way you will always start in the Support and Help area.

Thank you for the reply…

Then I should probablyh use App Center and install snap Sabnzbd I can do that - thank you…

I have now installed Snap Sabnzbd on Ubuntu using the App Center for snap. then I re-started my system. I then went to snap to see if it was listed, it was not. I then went to settings apps to see if it was listed - it was not. I then went to the Ubuntu file to see if there was anything listed about Sabnzbd - there is a pile of listed Sabnzbd files.

Question: What do I do now?

I somehow managed to get this message in another message the question remains but the whole thing should probably be removed.

Just a thought…

Open a terminal and run this:
snap list

Do you see the program in the list of installed snaps?

This is yet another one I stuck in another one. How do I delete the whole works?

Please answer my question so we can try and help resolve whether the snap is installed or not.

Thanks.
