How to deal with cookies

It would be nice if I knew where "start here" is. You have lots of stuff like Community, places, etc but if it was in alphabetic order it would help, same with your other lists.

Ubuntu Version:

Ubuntu 24.04.2

I just need somebody to tell me where to go to get information on how to deal with cookies. I have a problem with google and cannot get an answer, other than "cookies’ I am still trying and wrote them agin today.

Hopefully I will get a reply but not so far so I am trying here.

It’s at the top of the front page.
Most people seem to have no problem finding it.

“how to deal with” is too vague to offer useful advice. It is not credible that you wish to make some kind of bargain or agreement (a “deal”) with inanimate snippets of data that cannot negotiate. You will get the best help if you avoid jargon, idioms, and vagueness.

Since I can only guess at whatever problem you might have or what you might be seeking, I’ll answer the most common cookie-related question:

If you wish to view or control cookies stored in Ubuntu’s default browser Firefox, here is how:

Step 1. Go into the Firefox settings.

Step 2. In your settings, locate the Search box near the top. Enter “cookies”. This will expose your cookie controls.

Step 3. Now you can control the contents of cookies stored on Firefox, or simply delete them. This can be powerful, so use that power wisely.

Yep, you are right and I am blind and not paying attention and I apologize…

My problem is pretty simple. I do not understand cookies, have no idea how to look at them and if I can look at them I have no idea what they do and why they cause problems. I used to see programs that did something about them and I guess they are all dangerous unless you know what you are doing and I, obviously, do not.

Anyway - again, apologies…

As Ian explained, you can control which cookies are used fairly easily.
