Hello to fellow linux users!

Hello community!

I am Hrutvik (you can call me victor)
Writing this post from my Ubuntu noble running on my microsoft surface laptop
Been using wsl since past 3.5 years for work, and recently replaced windows 11 with Ubuntu noble on my personal laptop (webcam and p-cap / digitizer not working yet but I am looking into linux-surface-kernel for that- wish me luck :stuck_out_tongue: )

I want to keep learning about the awesomeness that is Ubuntu and give back to the community in some way– Specifically I am looking to contribute to QA testing work and possibly want to make some development contributions as well. It will be really great if someone can suggest next steps! (I am taking a look at the Pre-Release discussion category later today)

Hi Hrutvik, welcome to the Ubuntu community! :waving_hand:

That’s awesome that you’ve switched from Windows 11 to Ubuntu Noble on your Surface. Good luck with the linux-surface-kernel — I hope you get the webcam and digitizer working soon :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

It’s great to hear you’re interested in contributing. QA testing is a perfect place to start, and the Pre-Release discussion category is definitely a good next step. Looking forward to seeing your contributions!
