Hello people! Writing from Iceland!

Hi, I am Alessandro! (Alessandro, Iskadora, Iska, Ale… choose whichever you like :slightly_smiling_face:)
I am from Italy, currently in Iceland. I’ve been using Ubuntu for six years now, not widely, in fact, I wouldn’t call myself an expert, but I like it a lot.
I’ve come to know this community because I recently applied for a position at Canonical, and, you know, following links, I lost myself reading and exploring. I am quite new to the world of work, and I feel a bit disoriented .
Honestly, whatever happens with the application, I am just trying to make friends, do some networking, and find something cool to work on.
I’m a programmer. I’ve mainly written desktop applications in Python and C++, and that’s about what I like to do. I’m also open to anything else, though!
If anyone could help me out, I’d be glad to have a chat!
I’ve also taken a look at LoCos, and unfortunately, there aren’t any in Iceland, but if anyone is nearby, let me know!
