Hi everyone,
I’m Ryan, an entrepreneur who’s chosen Ubuntu as the base for most of my projects - from hosting to side tools and experiments. I’ve been using Ubuntu for 8+ years now as my go-to whenever I spin up a Linux VPS, because it just works.
I’m based in the USA. My wife and I are currently exploring different parts of the country to decide where to spend the next chapter of our lives now that our kids have graduated college.
A quick story from way back: in 2001 I worked at IBM supporting non-IBM UNIX systems. Ironically, I never actually touched IBM’s own AIX. Around that time IBM was pushing Linux pretty hard, so if Ubuntu had existed back then, I probably would have ended up helping someone with it too.
These days I approach things more from a user perspective than a developer one. I’m especially interested in contributing through user feedback, documentation improvements, or helping other business users adopt Ubuntu. I’d love guidance on where non-technical contributions are most needed.
