Hello from Côte d’Ivoire – Looking to connect with the Ubuntu community

Hello Ubuntu community :waving_hand:

My name is Elie, and I am based in Côte d’Ivoire (West Africa).

I have a background in business development, key account management, and customer relations, with over many years of experience.

I recently discovered Ubuntu and its community, and I am currently exploring how I can contribute and get more involved

I would especially like to connect with Ubuntu users, contributors, and community members in Côte d’Ivoire and across Francophone West Africa.

If you are based in the region or interested in building connections here, I would be happy to exchange and learn from you.

Looking forward to being part of this community.

Thank you :folded_hands:

Hello Elie, welcome to the Ubuntu community! :waving_hand:

Great to have you here, and it’s wonderful to see more people joining from Côte d’Ivoire and West Africa :globe_showing_europe_africa:

Your background is a valuable addition to the community. Looking forward to your contributions and connections! :rocket:

Hello and welcome @minnielikey!
It’s great to have you here and I’m thrilled to hear you’re interested in contributing to the Ubuntu community!

We currently have a few new Ubuntu Circles (local communities) in West Africa and there have been a few community led events within the past year. You’re welcome to reach out to those existing communities or even consider starting your own.

Feel feel to reach out to me if you’d like any more information or need some help getting the word out.

Hello MesterPerfect

Hello Aaronprisk,

Thank you very much for your message and for sharing this valuable information :folded_hands:

This is very interesting, especially the development of local Ubuntu communities in West Africa.

I have started exploring this further and have already taken initial steps toward building a local Ubuntu community in Côte d’Ivoire. I am currently awaiting feedback.

I would be very interested in learning more about existing communities in the region, particularly in Côte d’Ivoire and across West Africa, and how they are structured and evolve over time.

I would also be glad to exchange with you and explore how I can contribute, support existing initiatives, and help strengthen community engagement locally.

I remain available to discuss this further.

Thank you again for your support :slightly_smiling_face:
