Jonathan Bennett (@jpbennett)
Jonathan Bennett started his first business by flashing the Open Source OpenWRT firmware on consumer routers, and installing them for small businesses upgrading from DSL. He took that Open Source experience to the FLOSS Weekly podcast, which he co-hosted for years before taking over as the primary host in 2023, and continues to host today. During this time he also covered the security beat for Hackaday, writing the This Week in Security column from 2019 through 2025.
Jonathan has been a Meshtastic contributor since 2023, and now leads the Meshtastic on native Linux project, as well as heading up the cryptography team. He’s also serving as the CEO of Meshtastic Solutions, the company formed to provide commercial support for Meshtastic.
