Hi all. I am 89 years old and I have been involved with computers since 1976, starting with a remote terminal to the Birmingham(UK) university and working my way through the Sinclair ZX range, the RISCOS BBC micro. Microsoft DOS, the various stages of Windows and finally Windows 11 and Linux (mainly Mint). I have just turned to Ubuntu Studio 24.04.3 because I am also a creative content producer and I want to move away for my dependence on Microsoft products.

We hope you enjoy the journey with Linux in general and Ubuntu Studio specifically.
Welcome! You’ve been at it even longer than I have — although I started not with a remote terminal but with card punches and gigantic printers ![]()
