I’d just like to highlight here the post that went out earlier announcing the shift from our current Ubuntu Kernel 4/2 SRU Cycle Announcement to a unified recurring 2-week SRU cycle. Please see the post for details but the short summary is that the exponential rise in vulnerabilities needing to be addressed in the Linux kernel has required us to accelerate our response accordingly. We will be initially transitioning to 2 back to back 2-week cycles starting 2026.09.28 and 2026.10.12 respectively before beginning the overlapping cycles starting with 2026.10.26.
