Problem Description:
I want to remotely connect to a Windows 11 PC that is located in my family room in my basement. I am 80 years old have have mobility issues, so climbing up and down 2 flights of stairs is becoming very difficult.

Ubuntu 24.04 had two options for remote desktop access.

Desktop Sharing is for sharing the desktop of the local user with someone remotely located. Optionally the remote person may be given control of the desktop. One such use of this feature is, you may leave your work computer in the logged in state, and go home. Then you can remotely connect to your work computer and continue to work from home.

Remote Login allows remotely logging into the work computer when no one is locally logged in.
The “Remote Sharing and Remote Login” options are not present in Ubuntu 26.04
What I’ve Tried:
I tried using TeamViewer but they keep locking my account because they think am using it commercially, which I am not.
Before Posting:
I looked for questions about connection to external Windows 11 system from Ubuntu 26.04, but did not find anything.
