Gnome locks up

Desktop Environment (if applicable):
GNOME 46

Problem Description:
When I install lutris and open a game, after I try to lock the screen the gui fully locks up and the only way to continue is going to the tty and reboot.

Relevant System Information:
nvidia 4070ti with 580.126.09 drivers, x11,

Screenshots or Error Messages:
I am unable to get a screenshot but all of the icons on the top bar disappear and it happens 100% of the time that the application from lutris is running.

I found an article on the lutris forum here that sounds very similar. You might give that a read and see if anything helps. If so, please let us know.
