GNOME Classic desktop messed up after theming - double dock, tiny icons, lock screen issue

Hello everyone,

I recently tried customizing my GNOME Classic session, and now my desktop is a complete mess. Here are the symptoms I’m experiencing:

- Double dock (two docks showing at the same time)

- Icons (Show Applications) became smaller

- Dock icons flickering / twitching, especially the drive icon

- Lock screen also shows the dock

- Extensions seem to sync between GNOME and GNOME Classic (can’t isolate them)

- Scaling and wallpaper settings keep changing

- After restarting GNOME Shell with Alt+F2 + r, everything looks normal again, but the issues return later.

I’m not sure if this is caused by conflicting extensions, theme issues, or something else. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Run

sudo apt install gnome-shell-extension-manager

In there, you can disable extensions that make up the Classic session.

Thanks, but I already have Extension Manager installed. I’ve been using it to enable/disable extensions, but the issues (double dock, tiny icons) keep coming back after a while.
