Gnome-calculator Basic layout unusable by basic users

Ubuntu Version: 26.04
Desktop Environment: GNOME

Problem Description:

gnome-calculator 1:50~beta-2 or 1:50~beta-1ubuntu1
Basic layout is no longer ‘basic’ - it seems to have been ‘invaded’ by functions coming from advanced mode
square root is missing (must use ctrl+R for square root)
Pi is disappeared also if can be found in “variables and constants - Mathematics”
superscript and subscript mode are useless in a basic calculator
x square is missing also if can be entered by keyboard with ^ or with superscript
“variables and constants” like “additional functions” are ok in advanced mode but not in basic mode.
