This week marks my first year with the company. Time flies!

Subiquity

  • Working to finalize work necessary to unstage cloud-init from the Subiquity snap. With the following PR it should be ready:
    • PR #2079 - Rewrite the cloud-init schema validation code paths to rely on an external script.
  • More work on kernel things in livecd-rootfs, curtin, and subiquity.
  • code review.

autopkgtest-cloud

  • Merged in an MP adding caching to user authentication before running tests.

autopkgtest

  • Got lxc, docker, podman tests passing on ppc64. Other arches and lxc-old-testbed tests to come.

  • Worked on go-dev snap integration with vscode and got my golang-github-go-git-go-git sru merged.

Distro

  • notmuch autopkgtests are now passing
  • Working on fixing failing tests in rust-ordered-float

  • Researched and discussed micro-architectural optimizations for armv9 and other possible improvements for our package builds
  • Roadmap planning

  • Started initial bringup work
  • Fixed a possible firmware bug causing grub to crash on 64GB T14s Gen6

Misc

  • Experimented with ubuntu-image builds for arm64 mediatek chromebooks on github

  • Fixed regression in prometheus-xmpp-alerts caused by setuptools update LP: #2080280
