I continue to work on OpenSSL 4 transition https://transitions.ubuntu.com/html/openssl4.html. I have started to file bugs to remove unfixed leaf packages from the Stonking archive to better focus on migration.

Resolute .1

  • Bump Flutter to 3.44.0 on riscv64 for the Desktop installer (PR)
    • Also dropped the tool-patch, as 3.44.0 has upstream riscv64 support for the tool
  • Tested Ubuntu Server preinstalled RISC-V images

RISC-V

  • Flutter: fixed last issues in upstream PR (flutter/flutter#178712: adding riscv64 desktop Linux engine support)
  • Flutter engine cross-build: filed Debian #1145539 on at-spi2-core — atkversion.h is missing G_BEGIN_DECLS/G_END_DECLS, which breaks C++ consumers. Fix is upstream (MR 219) but not in all Debian releases; asking for a patch in Trixie, used by upstream for builds
  • SpacemiT K3 firmware flashing:
    • flash-k3-firmware: flashing firmware from our PPA, missing-dependency auto-install, confirmation prompt before flashing, and a warning about the bricking risk (repo)
    • Open PR to update the spacemit-k3-pico-itx firmware flashing instructions to use the new script

Misc

  • lp-ftbfs-report: refactored the pipeline to decouple data from rendering, added a JSON schema for the report output, and packaged it as a rock + charm to generate and host the report, with integration tests

  • TCK automation, completed TCK runs on non-riscv64 archs for rr, nn and jj
  • Spring AI tutorials on chat memory and MCP server + client
  • OpenJDK FIPS refactoring - address review comments

This week I have mainly investigated newly found bugs from the 100% rust-coreutils enablement in the coreutil-from package. Additionally I have successfully enabled upgrades for a TPM FDE system.
