  • Published merge request for cms/PKCS#7 support (!597)

  • Addressing code review on DRY refactor of openjdk-fips packages.
  • Work on OpenJDK security updates (July 2026)
    • Prepare package updates for rr, nn, jj, ff and bb
    • openjdk-8 update for new release - MP

Cloud-native tooling

  • Work on build-test containers for cloud-native apps (wip)

  • Adoptium WG meeting.

Toolchains

  • Diagnosed and fixed file timestamp issues with Rust 1.96 and Rust 1.97
  • Fixing Rust 1.97 build failures
  • Fixed node-source-map FTBFS caused by Rust 1.96+ in Debian and upstream
  • Work on shipping rust-analyzer in Rust 1.97

Miscellaneous

  • Set up YubiKeys
  • Written interview grading

Boot

  • Drafted and explored a semi-declarative yaml-based config file structure (drop ins for menu entries) for use alongside a statically analysable boot scripting language usable from inside this system.

Other

  • Various small changes to FPGAd - close to publishing now…

Vibe coded

Testing

  • Created a recipe for buliding the to-publish tool to push all URM test results to Test Observer
  • Used the tool in Jenkins Isotesting Jobs for desktop (example result) (MP)
  • Completed the URM testing document except for an overview diagram in this PR

Packaging

  • Opened a PR upstream to fix FTBFS for FastDDS against OpenSSL4.0 (Bug)

Misc

  • Set up the company laptop
  • Set up Yubikeys

openjdk:

  • July Security update uploads
  • Tomcat10 and 11 July updates.

.NET

  • Investigated and fixed .NET 10 autopkgtest failure on stonking.
    • The new build resulted in an FTBFS, even though PPA upload built fine. Investigating.
  • Released .NET 11 Preview 6 to the previews PPA.
  • .NET maintenance docs work.
