Testing

  • Working on packaging the test_observer_submit tool and getting it installed on Jenkins runners
  • Opened a PR for the testing document for URM to be included in Ubuntu Engineering Docs PR
  • Fixing some image promotion issues due to recent cdimage layout change MP

rust-sudo-rs

  • Merged rust-sudo-rs 0.2.14-1 from Debian (LP: #2159633)
  • Started working on multiple rust-sudo-rs SRUs for Resolute

Ubuntu 24.04
Testing backported Linux 7.0 on different hardware.

OpenSBI
Linux 7.2 raises the default maximum number of RISC-V CPUs to 256. Patch sent upstream to make the number of supported harts configurable and defaulting to 256, too.

Smartctl Exporter Snap
Enable RISC-V builds. Patch merged upstream.

Livecd-Rootfs
Don’t use the SBI earlycon driver in our images. The kernel team thinks about disabling it. Patches are under review for Noble, Resolute, Stonking.
