How do I find out if anyone’s still active in LoCo Florida or would like to help revive the group if it’s inactive?
From their WiKi, it does not appear that the team is still active however you can start by emailing the admins through Launchpad to see if you get any results. Go to Florida LoCo Team in Launchpad. There is a link there to send an email to the admins through Launchpad. While they may not be active, perhaps they can point you to individuals that can assist.

No luck finding anyone active on Launchpad, meetup, the ubuntu-us-fl mailing list or other places. If anyone’s interested in helping to restart or belong to a group in Florida, please let me know. I’m trying to get something going for Software Freedom Day and working in conjunction with the DFF and Beyond40 groups.

If anyone’s interested in helping to start a new Free Software group in Florida, please check out the Beyond 40 web site: https://beyond40.codeberg.page/ They have a list of local groups trying to organize and both local and virtual events. Ubuntu is a great example of FOSS and Ubuntu enthusiasts are welcome to join in.
