Today’s (3rd of December) update of snapd destroyed the gnome menu and the display of the icons in the dock.
I used “snap revert” to bypass the issue for this moment.
Maybe an ubuntu-bug snap would be nice.

I see you’ve filed one here, but you might get a better response at launchpad for snapd, and on the snapcraft forum as that’s where the snapd, and core developers hang out.
I had added it to the list of issues in the Core Desktop GitHub web site, since I only had issues with snapd updates in the Core Desktop in all other flavors I never had any issues.
