I give the following example to the installed “Landscape Client” (sudo apt-get Install landscape-client) My Ubuntu 24.04.2 is logged in to “https://landscape.canonical.com/” with its “Pro” mode.
There is the following after inspection via “sudo systemctl status” remained that I have 7 Service (
Landscape-Aapi.Service Loaded Failed Failed LSB: Enable Landscape Api
● Landscape-apper.Service Loaded Failed Failed LSB: Enable Landscape Frontend Ui
● Landscape-Anync-Frontend.Service Loaded Failed Failed LSB: Enable Landscape Async Frontend
Landscape-Client.Service Loaded Active Running Landscape Client Daemons
● Landscape-Job-Handler.Service Loaded Failed Failed LSB: Enable Landscape Job Handler
● Landscape-Msgserver.service Loaded Failed Failed LSB: Enable Landscape Message Processing
● Landscape-Package-Upload.Service Loaded Failed Failed LSB: Enable Landscape Package Upload Service
● Landscape-Pingserver.service
)
that degrade the productivity of Ubuntu.
My question is, what is the difference between “sudo apt-get install landscape-client” and “sudo apt-get install landscape-server-quickstart” (“Maybe also sudo apt-get Install landscape-server”)?
After removing the latter through “sudo apt remove landscape-server-quickstart”, “sudo apt-get remove landscape-server”, these servers remained working.
After trying to launch “sudo setup-landscape-server” gives me an error also with “sudo lsctl start”. What is this “Localhost” definition used for and how can it be removed?
