Howdy!
I’m on the latest version of Zoom:
Version 2026.3.1
SDK ‘main (7637fdf)’
Shell 39.2.6
Renderer 142.0.7444.226
Node 22.21.1
Architecture x64
Everything is in a single window and it’s quite annoying. I’m used to dual monitor mode on Windows. Has anyone managed to get this to work? If so, how?
Thanks,
L
Please provide information about your system and what you have already tried. Please see Welcome to support and help and Support and help posting guide and Ubuntu support template .
To start with something: Did you already follow advice on zoom site ?
Ubuntu Version :
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS
Release: 24.04
Codename: noble
Desktop Environment) :
XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=ubuntu:GNOME
DESKTOP_SESSION=ubuntu
Yes, I did do what the Zoom site says, however, it doesn’t work here:
Under In-meeting and in-webinar experience , locate the Meeting window view setting.
Because I don’t have that option. I’m not sure if it’s because of my Ubuntu version or something else.

Is this the snap version?
Two things to try:
check under Settings >> General for something like use dual monitors
if this is the default Wayland session, then log out and at the screen use the cogwheel at lower right to change to a Xorg session
Any difference if you switch to X11?

Unclear what method you used to install it, or where you got that software from.
That version number doesn’t seem to match snap package nor deb package. Those are the methods of installing Zoom that we support.
Did you download the software directly from the Zoom website? If so, they should be providing your support.
Yes I did get it from Zoom. I got the version from snap also. So it looks like I have dual monitors when I start the meeting, but I did not have that when joined a meeting from someone else. I’ll have to check again the next time I attend one.
I’ll report back.

I installed zoom from the .deb pkg (294.2 MB), it brought version 7.0.0.1666
When zoom starts I can stretch the window to my 3 monitors.
