Display Issues on Ubuntu Forum (Homepage & Notifications)

Hello,

I hope you are doing well.

I would like to report some display issues that I have been experiencing on the Ubuntu Forum over the past two days.

The problems specifically affect:

  1. The main homepage layout
  2. The notifications panel/view

I have attached screenshots that clearly show the issues.

For reference:

  • Browser: Google Chrome Version 145.
  • Operating System: Windows10
  • Screen resolution: 1920 × 1200

Please let me know if you need any additional information or testing from my side.

@MesterPerfect Hi there :slight_smile:

I just switched the theme from Default to Dark and am not seeing the same as you.

We did adjust some CSS the other day, so perhaps either switch to the Default under Preferences >> Interface >> Theme or clear cookies and then log in again?

Still the same?

**chrome **

Firefox

I’ve also noticed that browsing the forum and uploading files is slow.

Interesting.

Pinging @aaronprisk can you take a look please?

As far as browing is concerned I have not noticed any particular slowness today.

File uploads can be…temperamental at times.

We are working on solutions for this too.

@MesterPerfect We tweaked the notifications panel to not take up more than 80% of the screen.

Please check when you have a moment and let us know if the issue still persists.

Thanks

Thank you for your work on this.

I’ve noticed that the notifications display issue has now been resolved on my end — everything appears to be working correctly in the notifications panel. I appreciate the quick fix.

However, I am still experiencing a layout issue on the homepage, as shown in the attached screenshot.

Could you please confirm whether this is the intended/normal layout design, or if it might still be a rendering issue?
