  • The Rust GNOME 47 transition has finished for Ubuntu 24.10 and is expected to migrate to Debian Testing in a few days
  • The Feature Freeze Exception to build a few more libraries with improved sysprof support was approved

  • Cherrypicked a gst-plugins-base fix for the rust-gstreamer-video s390x test failure I reported
  • Cherrypicked a fix for orc failing to build on ppc64el

  • Removed our purple background patch for gnome-console since we no longer intend for gnome-console to be the Ubuntu Desktop default terminal app in the future
  • Removed an unused dependency from our gst-plugins-bad1.0 packaging to allow libiptcdata to migrate out of oracular-proposed
  • Filed several removal bugs after checking that Ubuntu’s removal tool that basically copies removals from Debian Unstable appears to not handle arch-specific removals.

  • Worked with Simon McVittie to update Debian’s gnome-core metapackage
  • Created blocker bugs to more easily show what needs to be handled for the new gtk4 & gjs to reach Debian Unstable
  • Updated the adwaita-icon-theme package after realizing that the new adwaita-icon-theme-legacy dependency is not required

  • Miscellaneous package updates
  • Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS was released yesterday and people using Ubuntu 22.04 LTS are already receiving notifications of the available major upgrade
