  • GNOME Shell 44.1 is now available as a regular update for Ubuntu 23.04.
  • GNOME 44.2 was accepted today as a proposed update for Ubuntu 23.04. Ubuntu SRU policy requires that updates are in the proposed pocket for at least a week before being released as a regular update, which means the week of June 19 would be the earliest general availability for this update.
  • Prepared the GTK4 4.10.4 update including a regression fix from GTK 4.10.3 where deleted items in Nautilus don’t appear deleted until the current view is refreshed.

  • Sponsored a proposed update to fix Flathub for Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and 20.04 LTS
  • Prepared the monthly mozjs102 security update which has already been released for 22.04 LTS and newer
  • Noticed that libadwaita 1.3.3 fixes a critical accessibility bug. Marco is working on the SRU for Ubuntu 23.04.

  • Packaged syndication-domination, a library needed to update the GNOME Feeds deb package. Waiting for Debian NEW review.
  • Packaged the libsoup3 update for libdmapsharing. Waiting for Debian NEW review.

  • Packaged shotwell 0.32 for Ubuntu 23.10. This is the first major release for the app in several years.
  • Packaged GNOME Mahjong 3.40. The app now uses gtk4 and libadwaita
  • Helped Marco install the Tiling Assistant GNOME Shell extension by default for Ubuntu 23.04. This is the first new default extension for Ubuntu since 2019. (The three other extensions are Appindicators, Ubuntu Dock, and Desktop Icons NG [previously Desktop Icons]).
