Very soon after the announcement for we dropping Firefox on Armhf, it is time to announce that the Chromium snap too will see the end of its Armhf builds.
The Armhf build of Chromium 144 failed because Node v24, one of its build dependencies, is not published for ARMv7l, contrary to its previous versions.
We deemed that the dwindling amount of users in that platform does not justify additional complexity to keep the Armhf builds going.
As listed in the announcement for Firefox, there are still enough good alternatives as Konqueror, Epiphany, Netsurf, so we’re again hoping the impact of will be minimal.
