Can someone re-open the topic that was automatically closed?

I am experiencing the same problem as the OP here:

The issue hasn’t been resolved and the link provided by @guiverc is broken.

Can someone please re-open the topic so that we can continue from there instead of creating the same one anew?

Welcome to Ubuntu Discourse

Are you still on 25.04?

If yes, it has already reached EOL and you should consider upgrading as soon as possible.

Additionally, it usually makes sense to start your own topic since system specifications/configurations are usually different (even if they appear to be similar).

Please let us know the version you are on.

Thanks

True, configurations are different though I believe that the underlying problem is the same. I am on Ubuntu 24.04.3.

We prefer you start your own topic in Support and Help.

You can link to the other topic if needs be for context.

Thanks

I have enough access there to read it. It was deleted without any solution. The original querent did not provide enough information to solve their problem. They abandoned it.

Same as the topic you want to reopen. Abandoned by the querent without any useful diagnostic information.

Since we have literally NO information about the problem yet to offer useful advice, @rubi1200’s advice is sound. Start with it as a new problem here.

As advised, I have opened a new topic here:

You’re a number of days early; the notice that recently was published is the warning of coming EOL, not the EOL itself.

Ubuntu 25.04 will reach end of life on 15th January 2026.

FYI: The link I used is still there and is valid, you may not have access/rights to view it; it does contain a hidden notice at the top of the page which you’re likely not seeing past.

This post is hidden.

I don’t know how Stack Exchange permissions work; you likely need to be logged in to view page, or maybe it requires you to have a certain level of rep, but page is still there.
