UbuCon Asia this year won’t run its own Community Booth program like last year. But, we will be running the Ubuntu Community Booth at COSCUP! If you would like to volunteer for the Ubuntu Community Booth at UbuCon Asia 2026 @ COSCUP, we’d like to invite you to the booth.
How to volunteer
To join the booth team, Simply reply on this thread or please contact the Community @Community-Team team along with the following details.
About you
What would you like to do for running the booth (Setup help, Bring merch/banners/flyers, Attract visitors, etc.)
Are there any projects or activities you would like to present or showcase?
Your travel itinerary - When to arrive in Taipei then depart?
Will you be able to volunteer for both 2 days? or for limited times?

We will invite you to the matrix room for the booth preparation
If you have a launchpad and your profile has all contact information above, you may also attach that link instead.
Note
If you need a visa to visit Taiwan and need a visa invitation letter for that, please make sure to let us know at least 90 days before the event.

About me
Last year, I ran the “Ubu4Cut” photo booth at UbuCon Asia.
We took photos of participants and printed them on-site using an Ubuntu-based setup, giving them out as souvenirs.
What I can help with
I can set up and operate a photo booth running on Ubuntu, providing instant printed photos to visitors.
This can help attract more people to the booth and increase engagement.
Showcase / Activities
I can also share how the whole workflow works on Ubuntu —
from capturing photos to processing and printing using Linux applications.
Travel itinerary
I’m planning to arrive in Taiwan two days before the event and return to Korea on August 14.
Availability

About me
This will likely be my first overseas community event, as UbuCon Asia @ COSCUP will be my first event abroad.
I am currently active as a forum moderator on the Community Moderation Team of Ubuntu Korea LoCo. I also participated in organizing UbuCon Korea 2025 (https://2025.ubuntu-kr.org/en/), and more recently, as a member of the Debian community, I helped organize MiniDebConf Busan 2025 (https://busan2025.mini.debconf.org/).
In addition, I have been an Ubuntu Member since December 2024.
What I can help with
I would be happy to help promote Ubuntu Korea LoCo and the LoCo Community, as well as UbuCon Korea 2026.
Through this, I hope to introduce the LoCo Community to more people.
