Abstract

Lynx, a cross-platform stack widely adopted by TikTok and ByteDance, has recently been open sourced. It empowers developers to build native mobile UIs using familiar web technologies. However, today’s desktop app development stacks still fall short of our real-world production requirements to be lightweight, fast, extensible, while still being friendly to Web developers.
In this talk, Zhixuan will share how we’ve been extending Lynx beyond mobile into the desktop ecosystem, the architectural decisions that make it adaptable to nearly any platform and scenario, and how we envision a future multiplatform native ecosystem.

Speaker(s) bio

Zhixuan is an Engineering Manager on the Lynx team, where he focuses on enhancing Lynx to better support developers in building applications that run seamlessly on both desktop and mobile platforms.
