I currently have a dual-boot with Win 11 / Linux Mint. I’ve learned that I cannot use a Bluetooth connected Keyboard to select OSs in GRUB, as no Bluetooth drivers are yet loaded while in GRUB. Is this the same with USB wireless connections like Logitech’s Unifying Receiver? My wireless Logitech mouse works while in the BIOS before accessing an OS. Could this be the same in GRUB? Right now, I have an old wired USB keyboard plugged in to select options in GRUB.

Short answer:
Yes — a wireless keyboard that uses a USB receiver (like Logitech’s Unifying Receiver) will usually work in GRUB, unlike Bluetooth.
Why this works:
- GRUB runs before the operating system loads, so Bluetooth drivers are not available at that stage.
- USB receivers (such as the Logitech Unifying Receiver) present the keyboard as a standard USB HID device, which is supported by BIOS/UEFI and GRUB.
- If the keyboard works in the BIOS setup screen, it will almost certainly work in GRUB as well.
Conclusion:
Your current wired keyboard is a valid solution, but you can safely replace it with a USB wireless keyboard that uses a receiver. Bluetooth-only keyboards will not work in GRUB.
Hope this helps, and welcome again!

If you refer to the Support and Help guidelines [Start Here page], it says
and then lists the supported product/releases. Neither Microsoft Windows 11, nor Linux Mint are listed there, as they’re not Ubuntu products.
I’ve thus closed this question.
