I would like to see a theme or theme(s) that have bigger Minimize, Maximize, and Close buttons, that we don’t have to jimmy rig / edit config files to get it to work? Or maybe make it adjustable, where the buttons can be made SMALL, MEDIUM, LARGE, EXTRA LARGE, or something like that? To me, the close button here in Mint 22 MATE, is very small for my eyes! Thanks.
Welcome to Ubuntu Discourse ![]()
Is this a request for upcoming releases of Ubuntu MATE?
Please check the varios topics here about where things are holding with development.
Thanks
It’s about this ^^^ and the second time the user has posted.
@cwm1330 I would like to give the benefit of the doubt here.
If you are asking about changes to Linux Mint, then sorry but that is off-topic here and we will have to close this topic and ask that you use the Mint forums.
If you are asking about Ubuntu MATE, see my previous post.
Thanks
Yes, I was talking about MATE theming in general. the close buttons are so small.
Uhh no, because I just got level 1 access to post on here.
Thanks ![]()
The exact same post was here before, now deleted, because it was flagged.
I know because I was the one flagging it and also replyed with the link to Mint Forums.
I thought it was due to the way I worded the orginal post, so I softened the tone a bit and re-submitted it. lol.
There are a gazillion different ways to apply theme defaults to your desktop and each distribution might use a different way (some distro package that ships default settings, a specific theme package, a system settings tool that automatically applies them, some hacks that get applied on first boot or first login). We simply do not know here how mint applies it’s system defaults, but if you are asking about Ubuntu MATE, this can perhaps be solved here but the fix might not apply at all to mint or even break your setup…
This is why it is important to ask in the specific forum for the distro you run else you are likely to just make a mess…
Closing. This does not seem to be about Ubuntu.
Reposting after previous closure is a quick path to getting banned. Don’t do that.
