Hi.

Ubuntu Unity 24.04

What do these ayatana indicator services do, and can I purge them:

ayatana-indicator-application-service

ayatana-indicator-display-service

ayatana-indicator-keyboard-service

ayatana-indicator-notifications-service

Since I have upgraded to ubuntu unity 24.04, colors around borders and menu bars are not displaying like I like them to. I just can’t seem to get the look and feel like I had in ubuntu 22.04. Is ayatana altering them in any way ?

The ayatana framework simply makes it so that notification icons appear in the upper-right-hand side of your interface next to the clock. It has nothing to do with menu bars and borders. It has been around for more than a decade.

Yes, there is:

In the post from @eeickmeyer there should be a box marked Solution >> check it and it will turn green and the thread will be marked as resolved.
