Yes, but the important part is the toggling to the final unmuted state; if the initial state is mute toggle it thrice.
Unfortunately, after removing hdajackretask’s influence on my Kubuntu installation, checking alsamixer (remuting then unmuting again), and testing my internal speakers after, they don’t work. But hey, at least I have a somewhat normal audio config again.
Screenshot of pavucontrol → “Output Devices”, please.
Anyhoo, you can explore other jack retasking options, because apparently that’s what parameters like model do under the hood; you’ve simply picked the wrong one, perhaps.
Or try that PPA I mentioned above.
The point was to at least once get a reproduction with default settings. What about that bug report, BTW?
Who says? Can you please stop with the piecemeal info nugget drops and elaborate on how you got your info? It’s an exercise in frustration having to ask time and again for info you should just provide upfront.
And don’t just answer one question all the time and leave the others by the wayside. You probably did a lot of things you shouldn’t have at the time you did but I don’t even know about them, so how am I to know anything about the current state of your system?
Sorry about that; I was in a rush.
Here’s the output of sudo apt install ppa-purge:
ppa-purge is already the newest version (0.2.8+bzr63-0ubuntu4). The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required: libutempter0 xbitmaps Use 'sudo apt autoremove' to remove them. Summary: Upgrading: 0, Installing: 0, Removing: 0, Not Upgrading: 16
Potentially, but I’m not wishing to interfere with jack retasking again.

That is not a PPA; that’s how you get rid of it…
I think we are done here for a total breakdown of communication. Time’s almost up anyway. Good luck.
I’m beginning to suspect that you are that LLM guy.
Thank you; at least you helped.
I’m not? But I do not wish to argue.
