Audacious snap version cannot recognize removable media

Hello, I am on a 24.04 LTS machine, Gnome desktop Environment, installed at 2024 Christmas in a Lenovo V15 G4 IRU notebook.

Until now I used the debian package with some restrictions due to malfunctions, as explained in an old post of mine. Now I decided to give the snap package a try, but I bumped to the same problem described in that post: Audacious snap version is unable to detect removable media.

As suggested by ogra, I tried to use the following command:

sudo snap connect audacious:removable-media

However it did not work.

I opened the desktop setting from the top right corner, navigated to the Apps section, then to Audacious, and the “Read/write files on removable storage devices” permission is enabled.

Is there anything else I can do to fix this issue?

You may need to select “Other locations” and/or, in the open files dialogue, click the HDD icon , then “media”… You should find all the removable media there, unless you explicitly mounted it somewhere else. Even so, starting from the root of the drive should get you there eventually.
