Any way to add Adwaita Not adwaita to repos?

Hi,

Just found out its possible to use https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/libadwaita-without-adwaita

with the normal dpkg buildpackage command.I Just needed to include the patch and exclude the yaru related patches. Ubuntu is forcing yaru to adw/adwaita released Things. Yes but why it is limited to yaru if any other Theme would Work the Same??

Remeber that its under 100 lines of Code that Lifts the restriction of the gnome devs. Its even online.

Early gtk4 themes are working better than early GTK3 themes did. Maybe its time to start theming Apps now.

We are a volunteer community and do not influence what is added to official repositories.

If the project is important to you, consider creating a Launchpad account and making this into a PPA.

This is an interesting approach, but it’s important to keep in mind that choices like Yaru in Ubuntu are primarily there to ensure visual consistency and compatibility with GNOME/Adwaita components. Bypassing certain restrictions might work technically, but it can also create inconsistencies or unexpected behavior during updates.
