On September 24, 2026, I attended the 2nd edition of the Ango Economic Summit, held in Namibe Province. The event was organized by Invictius Tecnologia, a startup behind the development of Ango Economic, an application born from the initiative of young entrepreneurs based in Namibe.
Ango Economic is a platform focused on the buying, selling, and importation of national and international products, created to connect entrepreneurs, companies, manufacturers, and suppliers with consumers.
What caught my attention most was seeing how an idea that started in Namibe has reached other parts of the country. Today, Ango Economic has more than 10,000 registered users and around 6,000 active users, connecting entrepreneurs, companies, manufacturers, and suppliers with users across more than eight provinces of Angola.
I also had the opportunity to learn more about the platform. It is inspiring to see a solution born in Namibe reaching other provinces and contributing to the digitalization of commerce in Angola.
The event brought together companies, entrepreneurs, startups, and professionals from the business and technology sectors, creating a space for sharing ideas and presenting new solutions.
Among the participants were Delcio Mac-Mahon, a prominent entrepreneur; Eng. Bernardo Kaveto, founder of Descubra+ and CEO of LADSSOFT-ON; and Antónia Silva, an entrepreneur, mentor, and specialist in Recruitment and Selection, among other guests.
The Summit also provided a platform for startups to present new products and solutions. These included Prime Blocos, which uses technology to facilitate the commercialization of construction blocks, and Kacennu, a startup that presented a billing and business management solution.
The presentations were hosted by Yurineth Joaquim, a young digital influencer who stood out for her dynamic communication and engaging way of guiding the different moments of the event. She was joined by Milagre Saiachica and Custódio Cahilo, founders of Invictius Tecnologia and creators of Ango Economic.
My participation in the Ango Economic Summit 2026 showed me once again that Angola, and particularly Namibe, have enormous technological and entrepreneurial potential. There are young people with ideas, talent, and, above all, the determination to turn those ideas into real solutions.
The Summit was also an opportunity to discover projects that demonstrate that innovation does not have to come only from major urban centers. It is also being built right here, in Namibe.
