Adding multiple additional hard drives for Jellyfin

Hello, i have a fresh new install of Ubuntu on my spare pc, the OS install is on its own M.2 Drive…i have jellyfin installed also on the same M.2 Drive. Now i have 3 separate hdd’s all 10TB each all with my media files on them from my old windows pc…is there any way to add these hdd’s to ubuntu without having to format and delete there contents? i do not wish to lose my 10+ TB’s worth of movies and shows…please note im totally new to Linux in general…but im a quick learner…somewhat…been building and working on windows PC’s for 30+ years

Welcome to Ubuntu Discourse

Have you tried attaching those drives yet?

Generally speaking it is safe to mount and read from NTFS formatted drives from Ubuntu.

Safety Tips

  • Never use “Disks → Format” — it will wipe data.
  • If Ubuntu asks to “initialize” or “format” the drive — cancel immediately.
  • Only write to them if they were cleanly unmounted from Windows (no hibernation).

As a test, attach one drive and then open a terminal with Ctrl + Alt + T and run this command:
lsblk -o NAME,SIZE,FSTYPE,MOUNTPOINT,LABEL

Copy the output and paste it back here then highlight the text and press the </> icon in the composer to add code tags.

Posting the output suggested in the post above would be the first step. Linux systems will not mount hibernated partitions as there is a high likelihood of data loss so hibernation needs to be off. The link below gives fairly detailed information on accessing ntfs partitions from Ubuntu.
