7.1 and 7.1.1 Kernel Not Booting

Normally I try out newer kernel versions from mainline to test new features, however the latest 7.1 and 7.1.1 kernels refuse to boot after install and automatically default to the previous 7.0.14 instead. Any ideas why this may be or how to solve the issue ?

Note: Am using AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS with Nvme drive.

Welcome to Ubuntu Discourse

That is not a supported kernel and we will not provide support here if something goes wrong.

The mainline kernels are also not offically supported since they do not receive security updates.

They are for testing only on a non-production machine.

@rubi1200 - This is why I mentioned it in the development channel, incase something is wrong with the kernel itself for future inclusion.
