Trying to select a session in the log in window and the drop down menu shows 6 options, which either selects “Lubuntu Wayland” or “LXQT desktop” . . . earlier today trying Miriway logged in to black screen. Openbox was not selectable. LXQT Wayland, Lubuntu, also not able to select. This is after today’s dist-upgrade.
I’ve moved this into the flavors-Lubuntu area, as it’s about stonking or the unreleased product, which is off-topic in the Support area (why there is no drop-down to select 26.10 yet!) and it’s something that needs developer attention too.
An even better way is to file a bug report, with the Lubuntu team documenting that at
OK, well I thought I was posting it in the “Lubuntu” sub-forum . . . . But, yes, I think this problem does need a bug report, because after I posted it I tried to select “LXQT desktop” . . . which is my normal choice, from the Lubuntu Wayland . . . and it wouldn’t allow me to select that, so I had to shutdown, and on cold boot I thought I would be back in L Wayland, as that is where it was; but instead it had auto-selected ye olde X11, LXQT desktop . . . .
That part is fine, but not being able to make the selection, and then no basic openbox . . . have to get to a bug report on it . . . .
I just saw in the lubuntu-devel list serve that what looks like a similar issue, with “wayland is default option” filed a bug report on it?? Might be an sddm thing?
