I’m wondering if anyone else testing the plasma-desktop packages (keeping gdm3 DM, but booting into a Plasma DE with wayland and nVidia video drivers) is seeing issues like what I’ve been seeing:
A little more than half the time upon reboot, xwaylandvideobridge fails to start. Trying to restart it from a terminal will always result in an error stating qt/xcb can’t connect to the display.
If I reboot several times I’ll eventually get lucky and it will start properly. I’ve only done basic debugging, but I’m really puzzled as to why it fails. I did a lot of web searches, and only found one person reporting similar issues - but they were using Fedora and in their case they could successfully restart it via systemctl, which I’ve never seen work so I’m thinking I’m hitting a different issue.
